In addition to teaching, for several years he directed "3000 by 2000," a cooperative program that increased the number of underrepresented minorities matriculating into medical school or the health professions.
At Lehman, Dr. Troy oversees the College's recruiting and retention efforts and the offices of admissions, student advising, academic support, and testing and scholarships, as well as the SEEK, English as a Second Language, Freshman Year Initiative, and College Collaboratives and Outreach programs. A graduate of the University of Hartford, he earned his doctorate in inorganic chemistry at Purdue University and has published research related to environmental issues.
