

ehman track star Amy Ruston took first place in the NCAA Division III
Atlantic Regional Cross Country Championship on November 13, qualifying
for the NCAA Championships.
With a time of 22:37:9, Ruston edged out the College of New Jersey's
Jenna Fasulo by 1.2 seconds, winning the individual title and setting a
new course record. The meet was held at St. Lawrence University's 6000-meter
Ronald C. Hoffman Cross Country Course.
Ruston finished first in the CUNY Athletic Conference Cross Country's
Championships on Oct ober 24. Suffering through injuries that set back her
training, Ruston managed to pull through, hitting a record time of 19:00,
which beat the CUNY record of 20:27.
Next weekend Ruston will represent Lehman College as an individual qualifier
at the NCAA Division III Championships in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
