Starbucks Café Grand Opening

Customers check out the new Harmony Café during its grand opening.
The new Harmony/Starbucks Café celebrated its grand opening on November 27 by giving away samples of coffee, pastries, paninis, and chocolate chip cookies. The celebration will continue on Tuesday, November 28, with more giveaways from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Located on the first floor of the Music Building, the café is decorated in the style of a New York coffee bar, replete with bar stools and small tables for two. Featured are cappuccinos, espressos, and a range of hot and cold coffee drinks. The café will also serve toasted panini sandwiches, a variety of freshly prepared deli sandwiches, soup, salads, and other light refreshments.
"Our goal was to offer the campus a more upscale and cozy atmosphere for enjoying a bite to eat," says café manager Patrick Gerard Thong. He points out that while the café is serving Starbucks coffee, it is not charging regular Starbucks prices.
The café will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday when classes are in session, and from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Fridays. It will be closed on weekends.
