Music Professor and His Band Mark New York Premiere

Distinguished Lecturer Bob Stewart plays tuba at a Music Department concert.
Just off their first European tour, this is the ensemble's New York premiere. Inspired by the music of Benin, Trio Akimbo explores the color combinations of the eastern and western guitar through the virtuosity of band members Jerome Harris (guitar) and Abdou Mboup (percussion and cora). Special guests James Zollar (trumpet) and Gary Valente (trombone) will accompany the ensemble.
