Best-Selling Author to Visit Lehman March 9

Adrian Nicole LeBlanc
A frequent contributor to The New York Times Magazine, LeBlanc has also published her work in The New Yorker, Esquire, Elle, Spin, The Source, The Village Voice, and other magazines. She holds a B.A. in sociology from Smith College, a Master's of Philosophy and Modern Literature from Oxford University, and a Master of Law Studies from Yale Law School. She was a Visiting Scholar at the New York University School of Journalism.
LeBlanc has received numerous awards, including a Bunting fellowship from Radcliffe, a MacDowell Colony residency, and a Soros Media Fellowship from the Open Society. Random Family is her first book.
"In the City and the Humanities event series we present artists and speakers from all the humanistic disciplines," explains Program Director Earl Fendelman, "including outstanding journalists like Adrain LeBlanc. Her book tells a true story but with the intensity and focus of a novel."
