Billy Collins' The Trouble with Poetry and Other Poems
Lehman's Distinguished Professor of English Billy Collins will speak at Bronx Community College on Thursday, Nov. 17, from 10 a.m. to noon in the auditorium of Gould Memorial Library. This event is free and open to the public.

Professor Collins will read from "Poetry 180: Extraordinary Poems for Every Day," an anthology for readers who appreciate engaging, thoughtful poems that are an immediate pleasure. In this collection, he continues his ambitious mission of exposing readers of all ages to the best of today's poetry.

Professor Collins is the author of eight collections of poetry, including most recently "Nine Horses" and "The Trouble with Poetry and Other Poems," released last month by Random House. He was Poet Laureate of the United States (2001-2003) and is the current Poet Laureate of New York State.
