"The Stench of Art" Premieres in Studio Theatre May 4
Described as an absurdist farce, the play focuses on a pretentious rich couple whose obsession with art and the status that art ownership confers leads them into consorting with demonic forces.
In addition to teaching, playwriting and screenwriting, Professor Hoffman is also the producer and host of the television series "Conversations." His most recent guest was legendary playwright and screenwriter Arthur Laurents.
"The Stench of Art: A Ridiculous Fable" opens Wednesday with an afternoon performance at 3:30 p.m. It continues with performances at 8 p.m. on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and concludes on Sunday with a performance at 3 p.m. General admission tickets are $10.
