Minding Your P's And Q's: Office of Campus Life Offers Etiquette Seminar April 6

Anne Marie Sabath
In addition to learning the basics, like folding a napkin and reading a table setting, Sabath will give advice on what not to order, how to handle difficult-to-eat foods and when to begin talking business during a meal.
"This seminar is an opportunity for students to boost their confidence not only in a business dining environment but also in an interview situation," says Vanessa Gonzalez, assistant director of the Office of Campus Life.
Sabath has been giving etiquette advice for 18 years. Her firm, At Ease, Inc., which is based in Cleveland, Ohio, specializes in domestic and international business etiquette programs. She is also the author of several books on the topic. Her concepts have been featured in The Wall Street Journal and USA Today. Sabath has made numerous appearances on television and served as a consultant to many Fortune 500 companies.
"Whether it's business or personal, making a good first impression is the first step to forming successful relationships that can, in turn, lead to a successful career," agrees Michael Sullivan, director of the Office of Campus Life.
To register for the seminar, call the Office of Campus Life at (718) 960-8535. The seminar is sponsored by the Office of Career Services, CASA and the Office of Alumni Relations.
