The "Inside Lehman" team has captured yet another bronze Telly award–this time for the segment on the Lehman Library archives. The prestigious Telly award has two levels of winners: silver and bronze. This is the second Telly award for "Inside Lehman."

"I thought the library segment was particularly strong and could stand on its own," says Executive Producer and Professor Lynne Van Voorhis (Journalism, Communication and Theatre).

In addition to the two Telly awards, the student-produced news magazine has been honored with a First Prize in the Alliance for Community Media's Northeast Regional competition (two years in a row) and an Award of Distinction from The Communicator Awards.

Created as part of an internship in mass communication, "Inside Lehman" focuses on events and programs at Lehman and in the surrounding community. Students write and produce their own segments and are featured in all of the on-camera work. Professor Thomas O'Hanlon, who has had an extensive career in broadcasting, teaches the internship and is the show's producer. The segment is broadcast on Bronxnet, the municipal access station located on the Lehman campus, as well as on CUNY-TV.
