The Euro sign
1. You need to download a patch for your OS, such as Service Pack 4 for
NT 4.
MS Euro Start
page
Microsoft Windows
Family Supports the Euro Symbol
2. You also need to download font updates
http://www.microsoft.com/typography/fontpack/default.htm
or fonts:
typically, there are two, one proportional, the other fixed width, with
only the Euro sign in each
Softseek
or in
French from G@stroweb
Hewlett-Packard has some excellent sites, with links to all operating systems
patches:
http://www.europe.hp.com/euro/symbol.html
http://www.europe.hp.com/euro/inkjet/
HP also offers two fonts that do not require the MS patch and
work with any printer, in any Windows application:

A possible problem:
You can easily type the sign and see it on the screen. But it will
not print as the printer will substitute its built in internal font which
does not have the sign.
