
In 1985, Monroe and Rose Lovinger established a scholarship in their names and pledged a bequest to perpetuate the scholarship. Much loved by their friends at Lehman College, they set an example for philanthropy through their gifts and their presence at campus events. Monroe Lovinger served on the Board of Directors of the Lehman College Foundation for many years. He also served on the Leonard Lief Endowment Fundraising Committee. Rose Lovinger died in 2003 at the age of 102.
