Classroom Presentations
Counselors provide outreach workshops and classroom presentations on various topics related to academic success and personal development.
Following is a list of some of the available topics. We also offer other topics that are not listed. If you have a topic in mind that is not in the list please let us know and we can make arrangements.
If you are interested in scheduling a class presentation contact the Counseling Center at 718-960-8761. To insure our availability, we recommend that requests for presentations be made at least three weeks in advance.
Outreach/Classroom Presentations for FYI seminars
During the first weeks of the semester, the FYI Counselor and Peer Educators will visit the FYI Seminar course in each freshmen block to deliver a brief presentation of the services available to students at the Psychological Counseling Center. Students will be encouraged to utilize our services as part of their growth as a college student. Additionally, professors may request to have a full workshop delivered pertaining to various topics on academic and/or personal development.
