On Monday, February 11th, Provost Nwosu announced the launch of the Collaborative on Academic Careers in Higher Education (COACHE) Survey at Lehman. Completing the COACHE survey will aid CUNY in addressing overall concerns, retain and attract quality scholars and teachers, and improve overall faculty work satisfaction. Five Lehman Faculty Accepted for 2019 Faculty Fellowship Publication Program (FFPP) The prestigious university-wide initiative provides full-time untenured CUNY faculty with the time, mentorship, and peer support as they work to design and complete writing projects essential to professional progress and tenure. Lehman College Political Science Professor Elhum Haghighat Publishes Her Newest Book "Demography and Democracy: Transitions in the Middle East and North Africa." Cyber Security and Awareness To promote cyber security awareness, Sonia A. Rai, IT Coordinator for the School of Arts and Humanities, presented an in-depth workshop for A&H faculty and staff during the fall semester. Focusing on developing cyber skills through preventive strategies, the workshop’s interactive approach to cyber-safety developed by Ms. Rai reviewed the "SMART" approach (Savvy, Meticulous, Alert, Responsible, Trained). In addition, a special cyber-safety radio series was developed. The first show aired in October on the student-managed Lehman underground radio station via the TuneIn app. Special thanks to Yves Dossous (manager of the Underground Radio Station, Journalism and Communication) and Barbara Sam (Lehman student) for their assistance. Look for future radio programs including "Artificial and Augmented Intelligence Promoting Diversity, Inclusion and Balance in the Workplace."
