NEW WIRELESS NETWORK -- LEONARD LIEF LIBRARY
The Information Technology Division is pleased to announce the completion of an upgrade to the Library's wireless network. The new system will be launched on Friday, March 1. We want to inform you of the benefits and changes associated with this new system:
Benefits: We doubled the number of wireless access points in the Library in order to achieve more complete coverage throughout the building.Further, we’ve implemented a new managed wireless network infrastructure that offers enhanced performance, improved wireless roaming, as well as data encryption from mobile devices to the campus network.
Implementation Date: The new network will launch on Friday, March 1 at 7:30 AM. This new network is currently operational in Science Hall, and will be phased-in during the spring semester in other campus buildings.
Log-In Changes and Support: A major change with the wireless network is the log-in procedures. The new system no longer requires you to log-in via a webpage. Once your device is configured and connected to the new network, it will remember the network the next time you visit the Library.

Pharos Mobile Print System!
The Information Technology Division is now providing Mobile Printing Services to Lehman students. With Pharos Mobile Print system, students can now print from any device (mobile or otherwise) on or off campus to any secure printer located in the Academic IT Center or The Leonard Lief Library. lynda.com - Online Learning Library is now available at Lehman College.
Lynda.com is a comprehensive library of software and business-related training courses accessible over the web. Topics include basic desktop programs, graphic design, and advanced application development.
The complete online learning library from lynda.com is available from two workstations, one in the IT Center and one in the Lehman Library. To view the collection of over 1500 available titles visit http://www.lynda.com and select the subject or the software tab at the top of the page.
To use the license in the IT Center, contact the IT Center Help Desk by email at help.desk@lehman.cuny.edu, by telephone at (718) 960-1111 or by visiting the Help Desk in person. Please indicate the dates and times you would like to use the workstation. You may reserve the workstation for up to two hours with a single reservation. The Help Desk will let you know if the time slot is available or if you need to select another time. At the time of your reservation, please check in at the Help Desk to receive a brief document explaining how to use of the system and a set of headphones.
