3 hours, 3 credits. Study of the organization, content, and methods of teaching in elementary mathematics programs. Emphasis on using research results to evaluate critically existing curricula and to organize teaching approaches that lead to the development of problem-solving skills. PREREQ: Passing grade on Departmental Mathematics Content Exam.
