ESC 733: Teaching Music in the Middle Schools.
3 hours, 3 credits. Knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to teach music in middle schools in diverse neighborhoods and the role of national, State, and City standards in the assessments of student achievement. Includes supervised fieldwork in middle schools in a variety of socioeconomic areas. PRE- or COREQ: Admission to M.A.T. program in applied music and music teaching or permission of the Graduate Adviser.
