ESC 724: Methods of Teaching Writing in Middle and High School.
30 hours plus confs. and group activities, 3 credits. Consideration of methods of teaching composition in the middle and high school English classroom, with attention to the linguistic, cognitive, and rhetorical theories that generate current practices in writing instruction. Review and analysis of selected research. PREREQ: ESC 722, ENG 785, or the equivalent.
