ESC 721: Literature for Middle and High School Students.
3 hours, 3 credits. An exploration of literature —both classical and contemporary —relevant to middle and high school settings. The role of such literature in the secondary-school curriculum, with particular attention to literary response and its assessment. Review and analysis of selected related research. PREREQ: Permission of instructor.
