HIE 730: History of Modern France.

3 hours, 3 credits. (Not open to students who have taken HIE 330.) French politics, society, economy, and culture from the fall of Napoleon to the crisis of 1968. The revolutions of the nineteenth century, colonial policy and decolonization, World Wars and recovery after 1950.
