EDI 706: LANS, Networks, and Infrastructure Design and Analysis in Educational Environments.
3 hours, 3 credits. Investigation of design characteristics of local area networks (LANS), intranets, and the global Internet (WANS). Issues to be addressed include infrastructure design and management, security maintenance, ethical and legal questions, curriculum development, professional development of users, and the obtaining and allocation of resources for continued support of existing and planned systems. PREREQ: EDI 705 and permission of the program coordinator.
