EDS 712: The Adolescent with Disabilities.
3 hours, 3 credits. Nature and needs of culturally and linguistically diverse individuals with a wide range and degree of disability conditions, exploring the development lifespan, with a focus on adolescence. Pertinent legislation, intervention with families, developing IEP's and ITP's, postsecondary training opportunities, and issues of advocacy will be studied in the context of the continuum of service delivery across inclusive, collaborative, and specialized settings. (15 fieldwork hours required.) PREREQ: permission of the adviser.
