*BIO 626: Protozoology.

6 hours (2, lecture; 4, lab), 4 credits. Biology of the protozoa, including morphology, physiology, and systematics of both free-living and parasitic forms. Consideration of phylogeny and ecology, life history, and epidemiology of selected protozoa. Laboratory includes identification, collection, culturing, and straining; emphasis on current techniques and their applications for basic research.
