BIO 611: Problems in Microbiology.
3 hours, 3 credits with lab. (For students who are teaching or plan to teach science or biology in secondary schools.) Reading and projects based on recent developments in microbial cytology, growth, metabolism, variation and dissociation, host/parasite relations, antibiosis, and other associations, e.g., with studies taken from bacteria, fungi, and viruses. PREREQ: One course in bacteriology or microbiology, one year of college chemistry, and one year of college physics.
