Pei-Sze Cheng
Emmy Award winning reporter Pei-Sze Cheng joined News 4 New York in April 2005 from WFSB-TV in Hartford, Connecticut where she served as a reporter and fill-in anchor. Cheng began her broadcasting career in 2001 as an on-camera Metro Traffic and Weather reporter in Woodbury, New York and was a reporter at News 12 in Norwalk, Connecticut. Cheng, a 2009 Emmy Award winner for Outstanding On-Camera Talent: General Assignment Reporter, reports for newscasts across all NBC 4 New York platforms and covers a wide range of stories in the tri-state area. She has reported on the Bernie Madoff Ponzi Scheme, the Times Square Bomb Plot and the “Miracle on the Hudson” Airplane Crash landing in the Hudson River. A trusted reporter with strong community ties, she is a member of the Asian American Journalists Association and was recognized by the Asian American and Pacific Islanders Association during their heritage month celebration. Cheng holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Columbia University. A native of Dix Hills, New York, Cheng and her family reside in Manhattan.
