About Our Campus

Our campus is a regional center for the visual and performing arts, recreation, and fitness through the Lehman Center for the Performing Arts, Lovinger Theater, Art Gallery, and The APEX. Lehman students have opportunities to attend theatrical productions, concerts, lectures, films, and other cultural events throughout the school year. They may also participate in a wide variety of clubs, professional organizations, and intramural athletic teams. Visit the campus and learn about our historic campus and its gothic architecture.

Scheduling of Classes

Lehman College's Division of Education schedules undergraduate classes during daytime, evenings, weekends and summers. In addition, to accommodate our graduate students who are currently working as teachers, the College offers classes in the late afternoon and evenings.

Student Information Center

The Student Information Center provides support for Lehman students interested in LUTE teacher and counselor education programs, as well as those students matriculated in degree programs.

Students who visit the Center will be able to obtain the following information:

Program admission requirements; general liberal arts/science core & distribution requirements for teacher education certification
Requirements of each teacher education and counselor education program offered by the Division of Education; prerequisite checks
Referrals for tutoring services, academic advisement, and career counseling and general counseling services
Schedule of classes for current and upcoming semester (when available) and availability of courses
Procedures for applying for NYS teacher and counselor certification; applications and advice regarding preparation of applications
Schedule and registration information for required Child Abuse Workshops, Project SAVE, drug and alcohol education, and fingerprinting
Student teaching, fieldwork, and internship requirements included in teacher and counselor education programs
Names and contact information for Program Coordinators and Advisors
Upcoming events of interest to teacher and counselor education students
