It had been such a wonderful discovery that book that Tommy found in his attic.  It told me so much about a world I never knew existed.  It’s horrible how they didn’t maintain our history but focused so much on the information they thought we needed to know for the future.  That discovery also pointed the way to my life’s work, collecting and restoring old books.  There were more of them around than anyone could imagine back then.  It is so gratifying to know that I had something to do with bringing them to the people’s attention and helping them understand the importance of preserving/holding onto this piece of their history.
