Academic Interests:
My academic interests and research are in the field of Professional Development Schools (PDSs). PDSs are partnerships between a college and an educational setting. Currently, I am a liaison with one of the Lehman College elementary school partners, PS 304 in Region 2, the Throggs Neck area of the Bronx. Together, as PDS partners we strive to prepare teacher candidates for urban schools, improve learning for elementary students and collaboratively design and implement professional development opportunities for Bronx teachers and Principals, as well as Lehman college faculty. We are also committed to conducting inquiry into the impact of the PDS relationship.
