Mission and Vision

Mission

The Institute for Health Equity's mission is three-fold:

• To facilitate and strengthen multidisciplinary cooperation and health equity research across the City University of New York community, and beyond
• To support capacity-building among non-profit/community-based organizations, so that they may better serve and advocate for their community's health; and
• To provide learning opportunities that prepare students to work toward the achievement of health equity among underserved communities in New York City and beyond

Vision

To document and address structural inequities and advocate for the promotion of the health and well-being of all communities.
