Digital Multimedia

Digital Multimedia is a studio art class focusing on the use of the program After Effects to create Motion Graphics and Visual Effects for video and post-production purposes. Motion Graphics is essentially the theory and practice of graphic design as applied to time-based media. This means that the principles of graphic design – color, typography, size relationships, composition, layout, etc – play just as integral a role as traditional design practice with the added dimension of time. This class introduces the skills necessary to create eye-catching animation that could be used for television, web, and other video mediums.
