CIBERLETRAS prepara su número veintisiete para julio de 2012.
La sección especial estará dedicada al tema de la política en la prosa femenina hispanoamericana del siglo XIX. Desde la Independencia hasta las aperturas sociales y laborales de finales de siglo, las escritoras, en tanto sujetos históricos han participado activamente en la formación de la idea de nación y por ende, han discutido y comentado en sus textos los programas que influirían tanto en la comunidad en general, como en la vida de las mujeres en particular. Los ensayos pueden ser escritos en español o inglés.
La sección general estará abierta a todos los autores y períodos literarios y culturales.
Los artículos deben ser inéditos y de alto valor académico. Serán enviados a dos de nuestros editores para su aprobación. Hágannos llegar sus trabajos antes del 20 de mayo de 2012 que es la fecha límite.
Los ensayos no deben exceder 20 páginas y deben obedecer las reglas publicadas bajo “Guidelines for submission” en http://www.lehman.cuny.edu/ciberletras/guidelines.html

CIBERLETRAS will publish its twenty-seventh issue in July 2012. We invite everyone interested to contribute with their essays.
The special section will be devoted to the subject of Politics in the prose fiction of Latin American women writers of the Nineteenth Century. Since Independence until the end of the century, the authors, as historical subjects, actively participated in the formation of the idea of the nation. Using a great variety of textual strategies, they created and challenged programs that would influence the community at large, as well as women’s lives. Essays can examine the subject from any critical approach.
• The general section will encompass authors from all literary and cultural periods.
Essays may be written in Spanish or English. They should be unpublished, original, and of high academic standard. Essays should not exceed 20 pages.
They will be submitted for approval to two of our editors. Please send your articles before May 20, 2012, which is the final deadline. Please send your articles in an attachment to:
