    Coding for Physician Services: CPT-4 and HCPCS LEVEL 2 Instructor

    Part-Time Coding Instructor
    The Office of Continuing Education at Lehman College is seeking a Part-Time Instructor to teach Coding for Physician Services: CPT-4, starting in the Fall 2008 semester.

    Teaching schedule to be arranged; 2.5 to 3 hrs., one night per week or Saturday mornings, total 39 hrs. per semester.

    Course Description: This course provides the skills necessary to code procedures for physicians’ services rendered in all health care settings: physicians’ offices; hospitals; nursing homes; emergency rooms; clinics; interventional radiology, etc., utilizing the latest CPT methodology and text. It is essential for all physician billing. Also included is a general overview on updated requirements for reporting professional services via HCPCS Level 2 and MODIFIERS for the Federal Government as well as general diagnostic coding for insurance companies and other third-party payers for claims processing.

    Credential required: CCA, CCS, CCS-P, RHIT or RHIA. Teaching experience is not required.

    Making Movies on a Computer Instructor

    The Office of Continuing Education at Lehman College is presently seeking an instructor to teach "Making Movies on a Computer". Students use Microsoft's Movie Maker and Sound Maker, available on many home computers running Windows XP, to create, edit, and share movies. Digital editing is the focus of this course. Students plan their projects using storyboards and timelines. Then they bring their plans to life by assembling video clips, audio files and pictures into one presentation.     Computer Graphics Instructor

    The Office of Continuing Education at Lehman College is presently seeking an instructor to teach Accounting for the Small Business. Want to play with pictures on a computer? Students take images and stretch them, squeeze them, color them, mix them up and turn them upside down and inside out. Add some movement to create simple animations. Put images and words together to create your very own publications that you can print or share over the Internet. LC Mon./Wed., 12:30 p.m.-2:00 p.m., July 7-July 30 (8 sessions) .
