New Directions in Education and Career Training
For today and for your future, the Division of Adult and Continuing Education can help you meet your educational, career and personal goals with both credit and non-credit course.
Continuing Education offers a vast array of affordable non-credit courses and certificate programs and special programs for children. Classes are taught by faculty members with extensive experience in their fields. You can acquire the knowledge and skills to launch a new career, advance in your job and obtain national and state certifications. Learn English in the English Language Institute or prepare to earn a GED to help you meet the basic requirement for most jobs. If you are planning to enter college or graduate school, our test preparation classes will help you increase your chance of success.
The Adult Degree Program is a Bachelor’s degree program designed to meet the special needs of mature women and men with family and work responsibilities. Convenient schedules; individual, on-going counseling; credit for life experience and special seminars are features of this exceptional program.
For personal enrichment and to enjoy your leisure time, Continuing Education offers exciting classes in art, music, photography, video, culinary arts, physical fitness, languages, writing, math and business skills.
From the comfort of your home, you can take an online course from a selection of over 250 instructor-facilitated classes.
For children, learning opportunities are plentiful in our Pre-College: Classes for Ages 4-16 program. These courses offer quality instruction and foster academic achievement, creative endeavors and physical fitness. In the summer, our popular and affordable More than a Camp—Kidz at Lehman College provides enrichment, enhances creativity and helps develop physical fitness and social skills.
