Nancy Ann Cintrón, Director of the Career Services Center, has been a member of the Center since 1990 when she started as a career advisor. She graduated with a B.A. in Business Education from Hunter College of CUNY. She received a Fellowship to pursue and earn her M.S.Ed. in Guidance and Counseling, with an emphasis in bilingual education, from CUNY’s College of Staten Island. She spent several months in Puerto Rico as part of this educational goal. Her diverse resume includes working in the corporate sector after graduating from Hunter College, teaching in the NYC public school system, working as the Registrar’s Graduation Coordinator at LaGuardia Community College/CUNY, and then serving as a faculty coordinator in LaGuardia’s cooperative education program. Ms. Cintron is a lifelong resident of the Bronx and has a long and very successful relationship with CUNY, both as a student, educator, and administrator.
Alan Fuentes has been a member of the Career Services team since 2005. He is the Employer Relations Manager/Associate Director. He earned a B.A. in Psychology from SUNY New Paltz and a Master of Social Work degree from CUNY’s Hunter College School of Social Work. He has been a bilingual psychotherapist for 18 years. Coupled with significant knowledge of diverse cultures, Alan provides a strong approach in guiding and motivating students toward success in their career development experience. He is a resident of Rockland County.
Erin Donnelly has been a Career Adviser in the Career Services Center since 2010. She earned both a B.A. in History and Secondary Education and an M.A. in School Counseling from Loyola College in Maryland. She also holds a Post-Master’s Certificate in Clinical Community Counseling from Johns Hopkins University and a Professional Certificate in Career Planning and Development from New York University. Erin worked as a school counselor in the Baltimore County Public School System for 6 years. This position provided her with much experience in working with students from diverse populations. This background serves her well at Lehman as she guides students in their career and academic tracks. Erin is a Westchester resident.
Navisha Maharaj joined the Career Services Center in 2010. She serves as a Career Adviser for students in all Health Professions and pre-professional majors. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from CUNY’s Queens College and a Master’s degree in Counseling from Mercy College. In her previous employment as the Cooperative Education Coordinator and Career Counselor at Mercy College, Navisha has gained insights in working with students of all majors to develop and integrate the skills necessary for academic and career success. She completed a recent publication on Counselor Education with a specific focus on high school transition. Navisha resides in Westchester County.
Bascillia Toussaint has been a Career Adviser on the Career Services team since 2008. She has extensive training and experience in Human Resources from the corporate arena. Her abundance of knowledge in recruiting, training and development, employer/employee relations and career development are strong assets for the Center and the students it serves. She earned a B.A. degree in Psychology from CUNY’s Hunter College and an M.A. degree in Social-Organizational Psychology from Columbia University. She recently earned a Professional Certificate in Career Planning and Development from New York University and is MBTI and SII certified. Bascillia’s diverse expertise is instrumental in her helping to guide students to flourish in their chosen careers.
Juan Vazquez joined the staff of the Career Services Center in 2006. He is the Internship Coordinator. He has more than 10 years experience in assisting student clients with securing internships and employment within the sectors of corporate, vocational/educational training, non-profit/community-based organizations and higher education. Juan earned his B.A. degree from City College of CUNY and completed an M.S. in Education with a specialization in Counselor Education at Lehman College of CUNY. He is a Bronx resident.
Nicole McFarlane joined the Career Services staff in 2013 as the Title V Career Services Advisor for undecided freshman and sophomore students. She earned a B.S. in Criminal Justice from St. John’s University, M.S.W. from Columbia University’s School of Social Work, and M.A. in Higher Education Administration from Teachers College, Columbia University. With over eight years experience working in the non-profit sector and higher education, she has assisted students of diverse cultural and academic backgrounds achieve academic and career success. Nicole has worked as an Admissions Counselor and Transfer Coordinator with CUNY’s Central Office of Admission Services and as a Disability and Career Counselor with the CUNY LEADS Project at New York City Tech. Nicole’s academic and professional training in social work and education provides her with a dual perspective, appreciation, and sensitivity for the significant challenges students face. Nicole resides in Brooklyn.
Roberto Herrera joined the Career Services staff in 2000. He is the Information Systems support in the Center and for the Student Affairs Division. He maintains the department website and provides technical support for the staff, as well as assisting student users in the Career Lab. He has a strong and diverse educational background in information technology and makes recommendations for new equipment and upgrades that advance the Center’s ability to provide state-of-the-art assistance for the staff and the students they serve. Roberto earned an A.A.S. degree in Data Processing from CUNY’s Hostos Community College and a B.S. degree in Computer Science from Lehman College of CUNY. Roberto lives in the Bronx.
Enid Martinez, a member of the staff since 2007, is the Office Manager in the Career Services Center. Her skills and personal nature add to the inviting atmosphere of the Center when students, faculty and staff visit. Enid earned a B.A. degree in Mass Media/Communications from CUNY’s Hunter College. Her background in the corporate sector, working in advertising and the architectural field, serves her well in her role in Career Services. She is a resident of the Bronx.
