Academic Center for Excellence (ACE)

The Academic Center for Excellence offers one-on-one tutoring for humanities and social science courses, as well as writing. Academic skills and test preparation workshops are also offered. Students can make an appointment, or just walk in.


Math Lab

The Math Lab, located in Room 222 of Gillet Hall, offers tutoring and workshops for math courses, as well as for math-related courses (such as accounting and physics) and programs (such as the G.R.E. and G.E.D.) The Lab also offers preparation for the A.C.T. Math Exam. Supplemental texts, software, and other materials are available.


Title V Supplemental Instruction and Technology

The Office of Supplemental Instruction and Technology provides structured group review sessions of course content and effective study skills for traditionally difficult courses in which students study with students. The students who lead review sessions emphasize time management, organization strategies, and exam preparation skills.


Science Learning Center

The Science Learning Center offers walk-in group tutoring for natural and computer science courses. Pre-semester and semester-long review workshops are offered for introductory science courses. The Science Learning Center also supports and promotes undergraduate research opportunities for math and science majors through the Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation in the Sciences, Mathematics, Engineering and Technology (L.S.A.M.P.)


SEEK Tutoring and Supplemental Instruction Program

The S.E.E.K. Tutoring and Supplemental Instruction Program offers specialized academic support services for S.E.E.K. students, including: individual and group tutoring, workshops for the CUNY entrance and proficiency exams, and Supplemental Instruction. It also maintains a Computer Lab and free Laptop Rental Program.
