Prof. Duncker received her Ph.D. in Political Science from CUNY Graduate Center; her M.A. in International Political Economy and Development from Fordham University; a B.A. in political science from Rutgers University. She has also obtained other professional training which include a Masters in Divinity [M.Div.], a diploma in quantitative methods from the University of Michigan, Inter-University Consortium in Political And Social Research [ICPSR], Ann Arbor. In addition, Prof. Duncker has professional certifications from Yale University’s Women’s Campaign School; New York University, Center for Global Studies, United Nations in Geneva Study Program and Harvard University – Kennedy School of Government program in Strategic Management for Non-Profits.
Prof. Duncker teaches courses in International Politics [POL 240], International Organizations [POL 343], American Foreign Policy and Global Challenges [LEH 301], and Political Analysis and Interpretation [POL 245].
Her publications include: “Globalization and Its Impact on the War on Terror” in Africa and the War on Terrorism, ed. John Davis (Ashgate: 2007); Domestic Politics and The Politics of Satellite Communications: Jamaica in the Information Age (VDM Publishers, Saarbrücken Germany: 2009) and a work in progress, A Comparative Analysis of Regional Energy Regimes as A Framework For The Assessment of Global Environmental Governance .
Professor Duncker is Lehman College’s Adjunct Professor Teacher of the Year for 2012. In 2011 she has also been received an honorary induction into the Lehman College Chapter of Golden Key International Honor Society.
