New York State Teacher Certification Exams
New Testing Requirements for Teacher and School Building Leader Candidate!
The New York State Education Department is revising the New York State Teacher Certification Examinations (NYSTCE) required for teacher and School Building Leader certification.
The new tests include a portfolio-based teacher performance assessment (edTPA), an Educating All Students test, and Academic Literacy Skills Test, updated Content Specialty Tests, and updated School Building Leader assessment.
Testing requirements will depend on certification type and when you complete your program:

registration for the first administration of the 2012-2013 program year
is projected to open. Candidates may register for NYSTCE test
administrations online at the NYSTCE Web site.
