If you are applying for a student visa in your country, you need to send us the documents listed below so we may process an I-20 for you. Lehman will issue the I-20 after we review your documents to make certain you meet the eligibility requirements.

Affidavit of Financial Support [PDF] with an original bank statement showing a minimum of $12,700 in US dollars or other evidence of financial ability translated into English. The bank statement must not be older than six (6) months.
A $250 tuition deposit (includes $50 nonrefundable application fee) payable to Lehman College.

After you receive the I-20 and acceptance letter from Lehman College, you must present them to the United States Embassy or Consulate in your country for a student visa (F-1). It is recommended that students apply for their visas early to provide sufficient time for processing. The Embassy or Consulate will also ask for proof that you have paid the fee required for SEVIS (the branch of US Immigration that is responsible for student visas).
