The Piccirilli Studio: Public Sculpture For the Nation

(Photo, John Orth). A bronze version of Fortitude marks the Piccirilli family plot in Woodlawn Cemetary. Also, it is said that a copy of Fortitude was once in the collection of William Randolph Hearst at San Simeon but today it is unlocated. Curators at San Simeon think it might have been sold off some years ago.
