(From Attilio Piccirilli by Josef Lombardo).This is Attilio in the studio with the model and the small clay sculpture which became known as The Broken Vase. A plaster cast of the clay sculpture was then made and, in this case was cast in bronze without enlargement.Later, Attilio used essentially the same sculpture for the life-size marble known as Spring Dream.
