Here you will find checklists for academic advising matters and assorted paperwork that should be taken seen to each semester you are at Lehman. Check whether you're on track with your academic progress, long-range academic planning, and career preparation.
- Freshman (0-30 credits)

Freshman (0 - 30 credits)
Have you:
- Submitted your proof of immunization to the Student Health Center, T3 Building, Room 118?
- Submitted your residency papers (if needed)?
- Attended freshman orientation?
- Regularly attended your freshman seminar? (For full-time, day-time students)
- Obtained your placement in English Composition, math, and foreign language courses?
- Worked on a Long Range Academic Plan (LRAP) with an Academic Advisor in (Shuster Hall, Room 280)?
- Started taking writing-intensive courses?
- Passed the CUNY/ACT Reading and Writing Tests and the CUNY/ACT Compass MathTest?
- Considered possible majors and researched their requirements?
- Visited Career Services, Shuster Hall, Room 254, to explore the link between your classes and possible careers?
- Explored the activities of the Campus Life Office, Student Life Building, Room 222 (clubs and student government)?

- Met with a faculty advisor in the major(s) and minor(s) that interest you and filed your Declaration of Major and Minor form in the Registrar’s Office, Shuster Hall, Room 106?
- Visited an Academic Adviser in Shuster 280 to find out how your transfer credits fit into your general education requirements?
- Visited faculty advisors to find out how your transfer credits will fit into your major (and minor, if needed) requirements?
- Returned your Transfer Credit Evaluation form to the Transfer Credit Evaluation Office, in Shuster Hall, Room 152?

- Met with a faculty adviser in the program that interests you and received a contract outlining all the major courses you must pass in order to receive your degree?
- Consulted the English Composition Office, Carman Hall, Room 339, regarding the English Composition requirement? (for students who did not earn their first bachelor’s degrees at Lehman)
- Filed a copy of your contract in Academic Advisement, Shuster Hall, Room 280, and the Registrar’s Office (Shuster Hall, Room 106)?
- Returned your Transfer Credit Evaluation form to the Admissions Office in Shuster Hall, Room 161?
