Academic Advising, Standards & Evaluations

This student's GPA is 2.606.

HERE'S HOW WE CALCULATED IT!

Each grade has a "quality point value": for example, A is 4.0, A- is 3.7, B+ is 3.3, B is 3.0.

Now that we've grouped together all the grades (As together, Bs together, etc.), we are ready for the next step: figuring out the total number of quality points earned. We do this by multiplying the total credits earned for each grade by that grade's quality point value.

Calculation of Grade Point Average

We then take the sum of quality points earned and divide it by the total number of credits taken by the student.

Divide 125.1 (sum of quality points) by 48 (sum of credits indexed)

125.1 ÷ 48 = 2.60625

WE'RE DONE! This student's GPA is 2.606

Please note: G.P.A. calculations are never rounded to the next highest number.
